How to Overcome Anger

Everybody struggles with anger - some people more than others. Do you know people who seem to be always angry? So much so that you have to tread softly around them? This morning as I was pulling into the office, I turned my signal on in plenty of time to warn the guy behind who was tail gating me. I slowed to turn in and he starting beeping his horn and continued far past the driveway. I thought to myself: "There goes an angry man. I guess I was in his way and made him slow down - oh well . . ." For him to beep at me like that was ridiculous. And yet, don't we have a tendency to "beep at" people, especially family, when "they get in our way" or "don't do what we want." I think at the root of most anger is selfishness. "I want it my way and if I don't get it - I'll get mad." (This doesn't discount other legitimate sources of anger - offense, rejection, betrayal, etc.).
